The inequities in this world are far to great to be left to chance to solve. We as a society and a civilization don't value all life equally. We need look no further than Katrina. Progress will require fundamental structural and attitudinal changes.

I am passionate about crucial issues of human rights, particularly those involving violence. I am an active advocate for the abolition of the death penalty, anti-this and all wars. I currently serve on the Board of El Centro Latino, an Orange County (NC) organization serving the Latino/Hispanic community.
